One Health Society (OHS) is honored to participate in the Africa CDC Continental Consultative Meeting on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), taking place from October 27–29, 2025, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This high-level meeting aims to review the achievements of the African Union AMR Framework (2020–2025) and contribute to the development of the next-generation AMR Framework 2.0 (2026–2031).
Since 2021, the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has led the implementation of the AU AMR Framework, which has been instrumental in guiding and accelerating the adoption of AMR National Action Plans across AU Member States. The consultative meeting brings together national AMR leads, development partners, technical experts, and key stakeholders to assess progress and shape the future of AMR control on the continent.
OHS is represented by Executive Director (Hamis Msagama), who also serves as Chair of the Secretariat for the Tanzania Parliamentarians Alliance on AMR. His participation underscores OHS’s continued commitment to integrating policymakers and parliamentarians in the fight against AMR.
OHS Executive Director will also be part of the Continental Stakeholders Meeting on Access to Antimicrobials, Diagnostics, and Vaccines scheduled for October 30–31, 2025.
