The World Health Organization (WHO) NTDs partner video prominently featured the One Health Society, which shared a testimonial from communities directly affected by Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). The stories highlighted not only the challenges faced by these communities but also the remarkable potential of youth as advocates and agents of change in the fight against NTDs as we look toward 2030.
In the video, we emphasized the urgent need for intensified and coordinated action to tackle the complex issues surrounding NTDs. This includes fostering an inclusive approach that incorporates various perspectives and expertise. The videos effectively illustrated how bringing together a diverse array of stakeholders such as government bodies, non-governmental organizations, community leaders, and young activists can create a robust framework for collaboration. This united front is essential for accelerating progress toward the elimination of these debilitating diseases and ultimately restoring health, dignity, and well-being to countless individuals and communities around the world.
